About

The Bolton Fire Department, 2008
The Bolton Fire Department is a ‘call force’ department with one full time Firefighter/EMT during office hours Monday-Friday 7:30a-3:30p. We proudly serve the town of Bolton, a quiet community of approximately 5,000 people and 20 square miles. We are located along Interstate 495, about 25 miles west of Boston and 15 miles northeast of Worcester.
Response
The Bolton Fire Department responds to an average 190 calls per year and operates out of one station located in the center of town. We currently have a complement of apparatus which is featured on our Apparatus Page. The Bolton Fire Department does not provide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) coverage to the Town. EMS is provided by the Bolton Ambulance Squad, a dedicated group of call EMTs who staff the Town’s Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance and is supplemented by Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedics from Patriot and Marlboro/Hudson ambulance services.
Recruitment & Training
Being a call-force based department, Bolton Fire is always seeking motivated individuals to join its ranks. Members must be 18+ years of age, capable of working under physically strenuous conditions, and available Tuesday nights for training. Those interested should call the station during office hours, Monday-Friday 7:30a-3:30p, or send a letter of interest via e-mail to emt-ff@townofbolton.com.
Radio
All radio communications are currently transmitted on 453.600 MHz with a station ID of WPVS832.
