2009 Fireman’s Muster

The Bolton Fire Department’s Muster team participated in the 83rd Annual Wachusett Fireman’s Muster. Despite the soaking conditions, the event continued forward and Bolton’s team placed 4th out of the 8 competing teams. Here are a few photos from the event:
Ice Water Rescue Training
January 4th, 2009
The Bolton Fire Department participated in an ice water rescue training session at the Bolton Town Beach on a frigid Sunday afternoon. Members from the Fire and Ambulance departments familiarized themselves with working inside the Mustang Rescue Suits and practiced various rescue techniques for situations that could be faced in the coming winter months.

Attachment of Q Siren to Engine 1
November 30th, 2008
Firefighter David Perry lead a project which installed a Federal Q siren on Engine 1 in November 2008. After a few weekends of cutting and wiring the project was completed and Engine 1 is now heard by all when responding to calls.

Passing of Firefighter Frank Smith

The Bolton Fire Department was saddened by the death of longtime Firefighter/EMT Frank Smith in November, 2008. A funeral ceremony was performed by Bolton Fire and Ambulance members, both present and past, at the Federated Church in Bolton, MA.

Structure Fire

The Bolton Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the early morning hours of November 4th, 2008 on Still River Road, Bolton. Apparatus and crews from Lancaster, Harvard, Berlin, and Stow assisted in fighting the blaze until it was extinguished at around 6am.
